The Foundry began in a small way in 1988, operating from a disused cow shed in the village of Swaffham Bulbeck. Today, though still small, we have built up an impressive range of lead planters, statues and urns. In style we tend to be rather backward looking and are firmly rooted in that golden age of English leadwork, the eighteenth century. And, like those old craftsmen, we are passionate about quality. Every piece made is designed, cast and finished by hand here at the Foundry. We can produce more or less anything that is required. In particular, when it comes to lead planters or lead cisterns, we can make to any size, shape and design. Much of our work is shipped abroad, particularly to America, where our lead planters are proof against their severe winters. Bulbeck Foundry Reach Road, Burwell, Cambridgeshire CB25 0GH
